I interrupt your regularly scheduled One Thing To See programming to give you a couple quick updates on the state of the site.
It’s been about 3 and 1/2 months since I launched this site with a video for the most creative job search ever and so far it’s been a blast. The site has found a great community of readers that seems to be growing every day and I’d like to thank you all for reading, subscribing and helping to spread the word about One Thing To See.
For those of you that haven’t already, please join the One Thing Facebook page, follow One Thing on Twitter, and/or subscribe to the One Thing daily email to get each day’s post.
I also wanted to let you know that I’ve just updated the 100 Things To See page on the site, which features links to the first 100 things I deemed One Thing-worthy and posted on the site. It’s a great way to go back and see what kind of great stuff you may have missed and the perfect page to send to your friends to introduce them to the site (hint hint!).
There’s been a nice increase in comments on the site recently which is great and I want to remind you that you can always see the most recent comments listed in the sidebar on the site in case you’re curious to see who’s saying what about what. The comments really make the site more fun for everybody, so please keep them coming!
You guys have sent in some great reader submissions so far, but I know that a lot of you probably find all kinds of cool stuff that you could share but haven’t yet. I just wanted to encourage you to go to the Submit a Link page and send me anything you think is One Thing-worthy and you’d like me to share with our readers.
Some people have asked me what are the most popular posts on the site, so here’s a rundown of the 5 Most Viewed One Thing Posts so far:
5. What It’s Like To Ride A Bike Down An 800 Meter Incline Through The Brazilian Slums
4. Guy Tries (And Fails) To Ride The World’s Largest Skateboard By Himself
3. College Kids Invent Motorized Couch, Get It Banned From Campus
2. These Guys Make Cirque Du Soleil Look Like Amateurs
1. What It’s Like To Drive On A Dubai Highway
Finally, I’d just like to ask you guys what other features you might want to see on this site? Please leave a comment with any suggestions (or complaints) you have about the site and how I might be able to make it even more awesome than it already is. Thanks!
– Josh (aka, the guy behind One Thing To See)
